At the 2024 Cancer Grand Challenges Summit, Team eDyNAmiC Patient Advocates joined members from the CGC community and presented a poster highlighting their achievements, approach, and plans for the year ahead.

Patient Advocacy and Patient Advocates are integral to Team eDyNAmiC. Team eDyNAmiC patient advocates (PAs) are equal members of the team, each engaged with and involved in the scientific aims, goals, and outcomes. In 2023 eDyNAmiC PAs grew their team and recruited four new members in three countries, each with their own lived experience as patient, survivor, and caregiver. Together, the PAs assembled and reviewed a Glossary for the eDyNAmiC website, highlighted eDyNAmiC’s work at the 5th Annual Glioblastoma Awareness Day event in Washington, D.C., participated in the NIHR Academy Members’ Conference highlighting the importance of involving and engaging advocates in research, and toured the Boeke lab at NYU Langone School of Medicine. In 2024 the PAs will continue to integrate new PAs, will leverage storytelling to create several short videos and blog posts to tell the story of Team eDyNAmiC, will attend the ICPV VOICE conference in September 2024, will use existing networks to bring ecDNA and Team eDyNAmiC to the top-of-the-list for key stakeholders and policymakers, and will continue to work collaboratively to build out and convey Team eDyNAmiC’s key messages.
