On July 10, 2025, team eDyNAmiC was honored by Cancer Research Horizons as the 2025 recipient of the Horizon Explorer Recognition Award.  The award celebrates team eDyNAmiC’s “groundbreaking research redefining our understanding of extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) in cancer.”

Team members Chris Bailey, Anton Henssen, Nnenna Kanu, and Pema Richeson attended the award ceremony in London, where they accepted the award on behalf of the team. Paul Mischel, team lead of team eDyNAmiC, shared in a video message,

“Cancer Research Horizons has their eye on the ball to go from discovery to translation to make a difference for patients with cancer… We are eternally grateful for this honor, and we are committed to making a difference and to working shoulder-to-shoulder to help patients with some of the most aggressive forms of cancer.”

We are truly honored and thrilled to receive this deeply meaningful recognition. We are grateful to Cancer Grand Challenges for their vision and funding, and to Cancer Research Horizons for this award and for the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of patients battling the hardest-to-treat cancers.
