We’re a bit behind in putting together the Q2 2025 team eDyNAmiC wrap-up but for good reason: we’ve been hard at work the last several months.

We look forward to continued momentum and progress going into Year 4 as we tackle the extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) Cancer Grand Challenge.
Team eDyNAmiC was awarded the Horizon Explorer Recognition Award by Cancer Research Horizons for our “groundbreaking research redefining our understanding of extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA)”.
Team eDyNAmiC patient advocate posters were presented at the CRUK and UCL Patient Engagement Day on 17 June 2025
Cancer Grand Challenges hosted world’s first extrachromosomal DNA in cancer conference – 11-13 June 2025 at the Royal Society in London, UK. Many members of team eDyNAmiC participated. Read more here.
Team eDyNAmiC at AACR 2025:
- Paul Mischel gave an opening plenary, “The influence of extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) in cancer”
- A major symposium, “ecDNA Amplifications and Genomic Rearrangements: Drivers, Pathology and Therapeutic Opportunities,” was presented, and team members Howard Chang and Anton Henssen were speakers
- Team member, Roel Verhaak, chaired an Educational session, “Extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) in Cancer“, and team member Andrea Ventura was a featured speaker
- Multiple team eDyNAmiC Future Leaders and Early Career Researchers presented posters
Team eDyNAmiC Patient Advocate, Dave Chuter, visited Cambridge University, where he discussed oesophageal cancer with Dr. Maria Alcolea. Their conversation is highlighted in a Guts UK Charity post
