In early September, Independent Cancer Patients’ Voice held the 11th edition of their VOICE: Science for Patient Advocates course, co-run with Barts Cancer Institute in London, UK. VOICE is a unique week-long course that gives patient advocates hands-on experience in the laboratory.

eDyNAmiC patient advocate Dave Chuter is on the organizing committee of the course and Katell Maguet joined as an attendee. Read on below to learn more about Katell’s story and what led her to become a patient advocate, and also about the course and its impact on a group of 16 patient advocates.

“This course helped me to realise that I want to serve as a bridge between patients and researchers.”
